FIELD WORKSHOP

I honestly don’t know when I’m happiest - outside treading the path less trodden, or being at home in my studio, sketching, exposing and pulling screenprints. All I know is that with every new horizon comes new ideas, and in all moments I’m equally inspired.

My Field Workshop journey began when I left school and I joined the Army. I started as a Craftsman in the Corps of the Royal Electrical and Mechanical Engineers, from which postings were often to a FLD WKSP - Field Workshop, the name has resonated ever since.

After the Army came art and design, and I've spent the last 20 years exploring the boundaries of creativity, through various mediums including illustration and printmaking.

My love of the great outdoors naturally recharges my imagination. Each Field Workshop print is the result of time spent foraging for ideas in and around the countryside.

A fusion of nature and time honoured practices emerge to create each Field Workshop print.

Look carefully at each one, hold it close and you’ll see that every detail has been considered in my attempt to create new perspectives on Mother Nature’s creations.

If you see me out on the hill, be sure to say hello...
